Our black grain engineered oak is also very durable and highly stable so it can be used for almost any project, it works very well in small rooms to spice them up slightly and equally as well in large spaces to promote a upmarket appeal.

    DESIGN

    The design of this floor was heavily influenced by designs used in large cities as it creates a floor that gives the look of an upmarket environment. It has been tried and tested and this is in our opinion a floor that in appearance looks much more expensive than the price we offer it for.

    CONSTRUCTION

    The level of quality with the Orlestone oak black grain engineered oak flooring does not stop with the lovely European oak top layer. It continues to the rubber wood multi-layer backing we use for this floor. Rubber wood has little other use other than for engineered flooring so it is grown for this purpose alone it is incredible stable and creates a consistent stability you could would struggle to achieve in a solid oak floor.

    PROCESS

    As is the case with most of the exquisite floors we offer throughout our range it has multiple processes to achieve the stunning final finish. With Orlestone oaks Black grain engineered flooring we begin by filling and sanding the European oak we then run the board through a structuring machine to achieve light brushing. By running then through the structuring machine it allows us to give them a light textures this is where the black colour will be pronounce and finally we coat the boards in there colour of hard wax oil to give rich warm colour.

    MAINTENANCE

    To maintain Orlestone oaks engineered black grain oak flooring you simply clean with a purpose made mop or cloth such as bonna floor mop, you can use luke warm soapy water but be careful to remove all water after cleaning as it can affect the top coat if left.

  • Orlestone oaks Bodiam Engineered oak flooring is a subtle but exclusive floor the 240mm wide boards didn’t need much to achieve a fantastic elegance that is complemented by the smoked colour and light texturing. The Bodiam engineered oak floor boast a warm dark brown colour and a period feel. It has been developed to imitate the same style of floor found in castles and manor houses. Orlestone oaks Bodiam floor is also very versatile and can be used in almost any room due to its extremely stable rubber wood backing.

    When looking to create this floor Orlestone oak wanted to achieve something special so there was no corners cut in the design. We use 240mm wide boards for a impressive floor and use minimalistic finishing so as not to spoil the natural beauty of the European oak.

    Orlestone oaks Bodiam Engineered European Oak flooring benefits from a multi-layer rubber wood backing giving reliable stability. We bond the top layer of Oak onto the rubber wood to create a floor that has unrivalled appearance yet incredible stability across the 240mm Wide engineered board.

    PROCESS

    To create this stunning floor we begin by bonding the European oak top layer on the multi-layer rubber wood backing. We then fill and sand the board before structuring by lightly brushing the boards. To achieve the colour the boards are smoked and finished with a hard wax oil to ensure durability and long lifetimes.

  • Orlestone oaks classic ice engineered oak flooring boasts beautiful light tones thanks to the white inlayed into the grain. To achieve this we lightly brush the floor then put white hard wax oil into the exposed grain and then seal it with a top layer of hard wax oil to ensure durability and a long lasting finish. Orlestones oak classic ice engineered oak flooring is perfect to brighten up any room or project with limited natural light.  Thanks to the revolutionary rubber wood baking that makes the floor very stable there isn’t many situation you cannot use this versatile oak flooring.

    Orlestone oak wanted to produce a floor that could be used in light rooms to emphasize light open spaces and also work very well in darker rooms with limited light. We did not however want a floor that is completely white as it would in our opinion take the elegance away from the Oaks natural appeal the result was to inlay the subtle white into the grain to create a board that is lighter without being to imposing.

    PROCCESS

    The process to achieve the classic ice engineered oak flooring begins with filing and sanding the boards we then continue to structure the boards by lightly brushing then and then inlaying the white into the grain exposed by brushing. Finally we would apply a top layer of hard wax oil to create a hard wearing durable finish.

  • Orlestone oaks classic snow engineered flooring is a beautiful light floor finished with a subtle white oil. It’s perfect for over underfloor heating and is very durable and long lasting due to the wax oil finish. Due to it light tones it works very well in rooms that need a little brightening up and equally as well in rooms with light themes as it is subtle white tones not a solid colour.

    The classic snow flooring has been created to offer a flooring that although appearance looks considerable lighter than a natural oil it is subtle and does not look like a full white colour.

    CONSTRUCTION

    The construction of this board is a multi-layered make up designed to give uncompromised stability. Whilst the bottom layers of the floor consist of rubber wood a timber suited perfectly for stabilising the floor, the top layer is high quality European oak resulting in a floor that when layered will look no different from a solid wood floor but boasting much more stability.

    MAINTANENCE

    To maintain Orlestone classic snow you simply wash with a luke warm soap mix or ideally use a dedicated floor cleaning product such as Bonna floor mop. Over time the top layer of the floor may begin to wear in this case you can reapply a clear oil to maintain the protective coating. 

  • Orlestone oaks Cognac engineered oak flooring has an authentic hand scraped finish giving a smooth but uneven surface designed to imitate a floor from hundreds of years ago. It comes in a rich warm brown colour complementing any room or space. The Cognac engineered flooring is a sublte and yet outstanding floor I has a silent class that is only noticed when being looked for. The floor is an engineered floor made up from a European oak top layer and a multi-layer rubber wood backing.

    When creating the orlestone oak Cognac engineered oak flooring we wanted to create a subtle floor that offers more than you expect at first glance. We did exactly that it does not look too busy but easy on the eye only when you look closer you can see the detail in the floor with is hand scraped finish.

    PROCESS

    To achieve this beautiful floor we being by bonding together the European oa top layer the the multi layered rubber wood backing to increase the stability. We then fill and sand the Oak bards before the hand scraping process is completed. The final process is to apply a hard wax oil finish giving the boards a attractive and hard wearing protective layer.

    Grampians floor is a engineered floor or milti layered so it is made up for layers of rubber wood bonded together with an European oak top layer. Using the rubber wood backing allows the Oak top layer to be much more stable and withstand more exposure to moisture and temperature differences.

    PROCCESS

    The process we put the Grampians engineered oak flooring through consists of a few stages. First of all we will bond the European oak top layer to the multi layer rubber wood backing to create a stable floor. We then run the board through a structuring machine and produce the raised grain by removing the soft part of the board. At this stage we would then inlay the black into the deeper part of the grain before finishing with hard wax oil to give the floor a durable and long lasting protective layer.

  • Orlestone Oaks Hever engineered oak flooring has an expertly crafted distressed finished. It goes through multiple stages of production to achieve a high quality antiqued appearance with traditional dovetails along the length of the 2.13m boards. The boards are structured by using a deep raking method adding to the authentic distressed look of tis timeless flooring. Leeds flooring has a medium smoked finish with clear matt oil to ensure a protective layer giving the floor durability and allowing long term everyday use.

It has dove tails along the length of the board and is heavily structured to create the worn look. The colour chosen for this board is a rich golden brown which is very keeping to floors you would find in period properties and castles and the smoked colour gives enough of an aged look whilst retaining the light colour people love in the oak flooring.

    These board are extremely easy to maintain as they do not really require any. They can be cleaned with either a purpose flooring mop of flooring wipes. Do not use hot water or steam cleaners as it will affect the wax oil protective layer. Depending on the wear the floor goes through in the property you may need to top up the protective top layer after a few years. This is a very easy process and not too expensive to have a flooring professional complete.

It offers an alternative to a standard white floor with the added effect of the raised grain and slightly creamy colour.     Orlestone oaks volcano engineered oak flooring undergoes a number of processes to accomplish this individual style of floor. First it is filled and sanded to create a level surface, it is then structured using a brushing method to create the raised grain texture before finally giving it the beautiful slate grey colour.

    MAINTANACE

    As with all our floors the Volcano engineered oak is easy to maintain this is due to the durable hard wax oil finish we use. The only thing you will need to do is clean the floor as and when you feel necessary we recommend a bonna floor mop.
